Standing in Dubai Marina, Ciel Dubai Marina is a landmark luxury hotel with iconic curved glass facade. R&C Deco Lighting delivered the core sculptural lighting installation for the grand lobby. Translating the concept of “crystal flowing gesture” into a manufacturable, installable large‑scale art luminaire, we create a memorable arrival experience for guests.

Design Concept: Continuous Sculpture of Crystal, Motion & Light

The double‑height main lobby requires a strong visual anchor. Transparent crystal leaves run along continuous light‑brass metal rails, combining transparent texture, premium metal finish and integrated LED light source. More than a lighting fixture, it functions as suspended light sculpture. It draws eyes upward, harmonizing with curved walls, reflective stone, vertical volume and guest circulation, bridging exterior cityscape and interior luxury hospitality atmosphere.

Full‑cycle Engineering Delivery

The real challenge for large‑size custom lighting lies in full‑set engineering execution rather than rendering only.

1. Site Preparation Site survey, ceiling load test and pre‑embed confirmation before production. Full hardware list including 304 stainless steel wire rope, rope loops, clips, sleeves and installation tools. Early‑stage point verification minimizes site deviation.
2. CAD Drawing Deepening Artistic fluid curves are converted into practical construction drawings, covering plan, elevation and suspension geometry. Align visual shape, suspension height, structural load, light source position and site condition for production‑ready documents.
3. Multi‑round Design Review Repeated check on suspension points, fixture orientation and structural nodes. Validate dimension and assembly logic prior to mass production.
4. Full‑scale Factory Trial Assembly 1:1 pre‑assembly before shipment, verify curvature, glass‑leaf rhythm, metal joint, wiring and lighting performance. Solve potential risks in factory.
5. Quality Control & Logistics Strict inspection on appearance, dimension and electrical parts. Plywood pallet packaging. Sea / air transport options are available with full compliance documents.
6. On‑site Installation Support Coordinate pre‑embedded anchor points, scaffolding and fixture geometry on‑site, restore original sculptural curve to final scene.

Delivered Result

The swirling crystal chandelier hangs at the heart of lobby. Crystal leaves refract warm LED glow while light‑brass rails outline smooth flowing silhouette. The lighting installation integrates perfectly with hotel interior architecture, delivering refined and impressive welcoming experience and becoming the landmark focal point of public area.
